In this role, you will work as part of our global Platform Engineering team scaling, automating and maintaining our global engineering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Lead the design, provisioning, and management of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Automation & CI/CD: Develop, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Argo CD) to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Design, implement, and manage containerized application platforms using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and operational stability.

• Monitoring, Logging & Alerting: Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog) to proactively identify and resolve system issues.

• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal policies.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.

• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with development teams, architects, and product owners to understand requirements and provide expert guidance. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

• Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Act as a subject matter expert for complex infrastructure issues, leading incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem activities.

• Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools.

• On-Call Rotation: Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems (if applicable).

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

• Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack), including services like compute, storage, networking, and security.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency with tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar.

• CI/CD Tools: Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Containerization: Expertise with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Scripting & Programming: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

• Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and administration.

• Networking: Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, Firewalls).

• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with industry-standard monitoring and logging tools.

• Version Control: Proficient with Git and Git workflows.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
