Baseline Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a university student (undergraduate or graduate) in their Sophomore year or above.

Identity & Access Management Engineering Intern

Siemens Xcelerator Security Team 


The Siemens Xcelerator Identity and Access Management (XIAM) service is at the core of all Siemens Xcelerator services, and it provides the necessary support for account, group, user, and access management. All incoming request authentication and authorization is handled by XIAM, thus providing secure access to all resources and services. In this group you will help define new approaches and create fresh functionality. 

 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Designing and developing service for Security platform 
  • Creating tools, utilities and script development for automation 
  • Diving into requirements definition, in-depth analysis, and code implementation 
  • Working in the Agile development methodology 
  • Validating software quality through unit testing, writing automated tests, and bug fixing 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related engineering field with prior coding experience 
  • Strong coding skills in TypeScript, C Sharp, C, C++, Java 
  • Commanding grasp of scripting language (Python) 
  • Experience integrating with cloud providers like AWS or Azure 
  • Problem solving skills with algorithm and data structure 
  • Practical working knowledge of software documentation and testing 
  • Understanding of Windows/Unix Operating Systems 
  • Write clean, robust and maintainable code 
  • Effective organizational and time management skills 
  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Inspires collaboration 

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. The hourly pay range for this position is 18-50 per hour for first time Interns or 18-50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
