Role Summary
The Product Architect for the Advantedge AI CoE is a technical leadership role responsible for designing and guiding the implementation of AI solutions across Siemens Digital Industries Software's global customer success organization. This role focuses on translating business needs into technical architectures, establishing design standards, and Providing technical guidance to development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Architecture & Design
Work with business leaders to identify processes where AI solutions can deliver Business value.
Design technical architectures for AI solutions aligned with business objectives and Technical standards following the Advantedge AI Idea to Value process.
Create architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and integration designs Guiding development teams.
Evaluate and recommend AI technologies, platforms, and tools based on business requirements.
Define architecture patterns and design standards for AI use cases.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with the CoE Leader, Program Manager, Solution Architects, and AI Specialists to translate business use cases into technical architectures in Accordance with the Advantedge AI Idea to Value process.
Contribute inputs and provide technical guidance to development teams on Architecture, design decisions, and standard methodologies.
Participate in and lead technical design sessions and architectural reviews to Resolve sophisticated challenges.
Serve as technical advisor on AI solution strategies, feasibility assessments, and technology approaches.
Work with architects and platform teams to ensure architectural alignment.
Standards & Innovation
Define future ready integration strategies for embedding AI solutions into enterprise ecosystems.
Establish architecture standards that uphold security, performance, and governance perfection.
Design modern data architectures that fuel AI development, deployment, and real time monitoring.
Spot and evaluate emerging AI technologies and architectural trends that accelerate value creation!
Recommend continuous, incremental enhancements to the Advantedge AI Idea to Value process.
Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, reference models, and technical best practice guides.
Collaborator Engagement
Present compelling technical proposals and recommendations to senior leaders and multi-functional forums with confidence!
Translate deep technical concepts into clear, understandable language for business collaborators and non technical audiences.
Represent the A AI CoE in technical governance discussions and architectural review boards, ensuring alignment and strategic direction.
Required Qualifications
• Education & Experience
• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 10-15 years of experience in software development, solution/technical architecture, or related technical roles
• Validated experience designing and delivering sophisticated technical solutions.
• Experience working with AI/ML technologies or intelligent automation systems.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of solution and technical architecture principles, design patterns, and sophisticated system structures
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures including microservices and APIs
• Experience designing integration solutions for enterprise systems with multiple components.
• Understanding of data architecture fundamentals and how data supports AI/ML solutions.
• Ability to create and communicate technical designs using diagrams and specifications.
AI Knowledge
• Excellent validated understanding of AI technologies and their practical enterprise applications
• Validated understanding of AI development lifecycle from use case identification through production deployment
• Knowledge of security, quality, and governance considerations for enterprise AI solutions
• Teamwork & Communication
• Strong problem-solving abilities with structured approach to sophisticated technical challenges
• Excellent interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work optimally with diverse collaborator groups in global, distributed environments.
• Experience in Agile or iterative development environments
• Self-starter who can operate independently and guide others through technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications
• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, cloud platform certifications, or similar)
• Hands-on experience developing AI solutions or implementing AI platforms in production.
• Knowledge of Siemens DISW products (Mendix, Teamcenter, Polarion) or comparable platforms
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks for large-scale system design
• Understanding of Digital Twin concepts, Industry 4.0 technologies, or manufacturing/engineering domains
• Proficiency with architectural modeling tools (UML, ArchiMate, C4, BPMN)
• Experience with AI governance frameworks, model risk management, or AI ethics implementation
• Published work, conference presentations, or contributions to technical communities.
