About the role:

The selected candidate will be an integral member of the Pipeline Operations team, overseeing the daily build and integration processes for the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ family of CFD tools.



What you’ll be doing:

Monitor and report on the builds within a Jenkins environment. Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve failures efficiently. Utilize existing automated tools to streamline the integration build process. Work with the Pipeline Operations team to reduce overhead by developing a more efficient and maintainable build system.

  • Monitor the status of integrations into the codebase
  • Manage the build system, refactoring and addressing bugs as necessary
  • Working with the development team to ensure timely repairs
  • Occasionally submitting reversions, when development team determines that a timely fix isn’t available.
  • Reporting machine failures to the responsible infrastructure team
  • Working with the Pipeline Operations team to revamp the building system to establish a more modular build pipeline


What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or training and experience equivalent
  • Strong Understanding of Jenkins and automated build tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration build failures
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment processes helpful
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiar with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of Python/Bash/Batch scripting essential
  • Understanding of Java/Groovy/C++ helpful
  • Exposure to making build tools helpful
