Today, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including of repairs of the systems covered by the maintenance section in accordance with the instructions given by the superior personnel.
• Maintain signaling systems including interlockings, point machines, axle counters, signals, and level crossings.
• Repair and maintenance function applicable to the maintenance department, responsible for maintaining of infrastructure and railway related sub-systems.
• Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
• Maintain LV electrical systems, UPS, batteries, breakers, and earthing.
• Maintain telecom systems including fiber/copper cables, switches, radios, and telephone equipment.
• Support HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire system maintenance.
• Complete reports, checklists, and CMMS (Maximo) updates.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and report hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other disciplines, contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Technical Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, or Electromechanical fields.
• Maintenance Experience and knowledge is required in one or more fields as listed below (Signaling / Power / Telecom/ MEP Systems)
• Able to communicate in good English language and can read technical manual
• Has a good knowledge in tools and equipment usage.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, cooling and other systems
• Able to work well / speedy and under pressure, and with a team.
• +5 years’ experience in railways sectors (Signaling / Telecom)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
• Working Conditions

1. Shift-based work including nights and weekends.
2. On-call duty for fault response.
3. Field-based work near live railway infrastructure under controlled conditions.
