We are looking for a Finance Manager – Project and product business to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Electrification and Automation area.

Your Challenge

The Regional Segment Secondary Distribution & Products is an interesting and challenging mix of different business types.

Big data center projects, a high number of small projects and highly profitable product businesses create a unique portfolio selection within our regional setup.

We are looking for a highly dynamic leader with the desire to have an impact and being capable managing diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Your main activities will be:

  • Serve as the Finance Business Partner for a regional business segment, acting as the key financial partner to the Regional Segment Lead.
  • Lead financial planning processes (Budget, Forecast, Monthly Closing) and ensure transparency of business performance drivers.
  • Provide actionable insights on profitability, cost efficiency, productivity, pricing, and working capital development.
  • Oversee P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management for the segment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines and tax regulations
  • Identify and drive financial improvement initiatives to enhance regional competitiveness.
  • Oversee end-to-end commercial management of customer projects, ensuring compliance with project management guidelines (e.g., PM@Siemens or equivalent).
  • Monitor project KPIs, ensure adherence to IFRS and company controlling standards, and drive timely forecasting and reporting.
  • Establish best practices, tools, and processes to improve commercial quality and margins across the portfolio.
  • Lead your own team, develop competencies, and be involved in talent management
  • Act as Project Controller for strategic and important projects

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or similar.
  • Proven experience in project controlling, or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, project controlling standards, and commercial contract management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills and readiness to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience in an industrial, engineering, or technology environment is a plus.
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Passion to never-stop growing
  • Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and  share knowledge
  • Proficiency in English and Italian
  • Eligibility to work in Italy
