We have one open position for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) within Siemens Mobility. Join our team and help ensure the highest quality standards in our supply base, contributing to the reliability and excellence of our products and services.

Description:
Ensures and continuously improves the quality of supplied products and services within the assigned business area. Implements SQM requirements related to supplier qualification, specifications, and performance, acting as the SQM representative in cross‑functional teams and toward national and international suppliers.

Tasks:
• Implements the agreed commodity and SQM strategy, including initiatives related to value creation, digitalization, and collaboration.
• Drives supplier performance and continuous improvement, supporting development programs when required.
• Creates, negotiates, and maintains General Quality Agreements (GQAs) and Quality Assurance Agreements (QAAs), ensuring proper contract coverage.
• Applies preventive quality methods aimed at minimizing supply‑chain risks.
• Designs, maintains, and improves quality requirements, specifications, and concepts based on supplier and product/service risk assessments.
• Supports the standardized supplier qualification process to ensure suppliers are ready for business.
• Coordinates product and service qualifications and approvals to ensure suppliers are ready to order.
• Actively contributes to cross‑functional projects, reviewing and supporting quality‑related specifications and requirements.
• Executes complaints management, verifies supplier root‑cause analysis, and drives sustainable corrective actions.
• Plans, performs, and follows up on supplier audits, ensuring effective implementation of audit actions.
• Continuously improves internal SQM processes through innovation, digitalization, and LEAN principles.
• Fosters effective collaboration with suppliers, including virtual interactions when needed.

Academic Requirement:
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or industrial quality roles.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
• Experience in structured problem‑solving and complaint handling (8D methodology).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
• High level of English is mandatory; German will be valued.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Analytical mindset, autonomy, and structured decision‑making capabilities.
• Availability for business travel (30–50%).
