Do you want to help create the future of healthcare? Our name, Siemens Healthineers, was selected to honor our people who dedicate their energy and passion to this cause. It reflects their pioneering spirit combined with our long history of engineering in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

We offer you a flexible and dynamic environment with opportunities to go beyond your comfort zone in order to grow personally and professionally. Sounds interesting?

Then come and join our global team as Head of Strategy & Execution (f/m/d) to accelerate, strengthen, and secure the growth of the service business.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the Strategy & Execution team in the new Strategy, Portfolio & Service Lines division. In this role, you will further develop the strategic framework for Customer Services (CS), contribute structured market, competitive, and customer perspectives, and manage the target and implementation process with consistent performance and progress management.
  • As part of the CS Hoshin Kanri process, you and your team will develop and be responsible for multi-year CS growth planning in line with the CS strategy, including annual planning and the preparation and support of M&A activities.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for key strategic initiatives and programs in Customer Services, establish standards for excellent program and project management, and lead cross-functional governance (e.g., steering committees, decision-making and escalation processes).
  • You will ensure strategy communication and translate the CS strategy into clear narratives and messages for relevant target groups, thus ensuring cross-divisional and cross-regional alignment with relevant stakeholders.
  • You will have technical and disciplinary leadership responsibility for a team of approximately 5 employees and will empower, coach, and develop both the team and each individual team member.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • We welcome applicants with a degree in healthcare, IT/technology, or business management and excellent academic performance; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, MD) is an advantage.
  • You have many years of in-depth project and program management experience in strategic, business-critical areas—across the entire organization and with stakeholders up to (senior) management level. Ideally, you have gained this experience in a leading management consultancy or a comparable strategic role.
  • You have a strong “can-do” mentality and experience in managing challenging projects in a matrix organization and implementing change in an international environment. You have a solid understanding of lean and agile working methods.
  • You have M&A experience - e.g., in preparing and supporting due diligence, evaluating business cases, and supporting post-merger integration in a matrix organization.
  • You lead with passion and proven experience spanning several years. You motivate teams, develop employees in a targeted manner, and go the extra mile when necessary to deliver results.
  • Experience in the medtech industry and a deep understanding of digitalization/technology are a significant plus.

Your attributes and skills:

  • You are structured and reliable – yet curious, creative, and pragmatic in finding solutions. Even in highly dynamic situations, you maintain an overview and can confidently manage several issues at once.
  • You have strong intellectual leadership skills: you think in end-to-end contexts, question the status quo, and enjoy working on the system (operating model, governance) rather than just within the system.
  • You combine strategy with implementation: you drive projects forward independently, in a results-oriented manner and with a keen business sense, anticipate risks early on, remove obstacles and win over stakeholders in the matrix through clear communication and cooperation.
  • You are adaptable and resilient, act confidently in changing conditions, and maintain a consistent focus on strategic goals, measurable impact, and quality of results.
  • You impress with your executive communication skills: you condense complex content into clear messages and present them at the management level in a manner appropriate to the audience – in very good English; German skills are a plus.
