Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future‑Oriented

As part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SMWSA) Project, we are seeking a Construction Administrator to support the delivery of Rail Electrification Systems, including Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) and HV cable pulling works. This is a full‑time, onsite role where you will actively monitor installation and commissioning progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules, design implementation and contractual obligations.

In this role, you will play a key part in identifying deviations, managing change and supporting timely, compliant project delivery through close coordination with technical and commercial teams.

In this role you will:

• Monitor and report on project progress against the overall time schedule, design implementation and contractual requirements.
• Identify and document deviations in planned schedule, design or access conditions in line with contractual provisions.
• Prepare and manage contract‑compliant obstruction notices, including follow‑up and reporting in coordination with project and contract management teams.
• Develop and support change‑management processes to ensure consistent implementation across different project types.
• Prepare detailed Extension of Time (EOT) proposals, including justification for acceleration and prolongation costs where applicable.
• Interface closely with contract management, schedulers and key internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify risks and additional works beyond contractual scope.

• Several years’ professional experience on construction sites as a Contract & Claims Manager or Quantity Surveyor, ideally within rail transport or major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual matters, cost control, progress reporting and project performance management.
• Knowledge of railway distribution networks and awareness of electrical or civil network interfaces.
• Proficiency in scheduling and cost‑control tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera.
• Demonstrated experience working across Civil and Rail Systems interfaces, with quality and quantity management exposure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid White Card and driver’s licence.
