Our hardware developers work on control systems for advanced electronics using Altium Designer and extensive testing in LAB. Some key tasks for this position are:
Contributing to the selection of control topology in new and existing solutions.
Design and debugging of HW for advanced electrical drives
Design of PCBs using FPGA SOM from the Xilinx platform.
Contributing to our Generic Control System platform 
Design of inverter PCBs at the highest EMC & IPC levels.

Your Profile
You hold a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
You have over 3 years of experience designing hardware for industry where EMC and robustness are key factors.
You must be highly skilled in schematics design following the highest standards of quality. Layout experience is useful, but not critical.

It’s an advantage if you have:
Experience with Altium Designer using the enterprise library
Experience with Xilinx Zynq architecture and Texas Instruments C2000.
Experience with FPGA programming and Simulink code generation.
Experience with layout, testing and design verification.
Knowledge of control and power electronics.
Experience with EMC debugging and switching noise.
Interdisciplinary knowledge of embedded bare-metal programming, mechanics, control algorithms, and interest in prototyping / R&D type of work.

Specific for this position:
As a hardware engineer in R&D Control Systems you will develop new electronics as well as maintaining our existing electronics. For this position there will be emphasis on maintaining our existing designs using tools such as Cadstar, Altium Designer and Teamcenter. This work will require understanding how the old designs work as well as to follow our standards for new designs. It is an advantage to also be familiar with programming, embedded systems and testing in a lab environment.

Our group develops innovative solutions across a broad portfolio including motor control, inverters, energy storage, battery systems, and industrial IoT. The team consists of around 15 developers in a technically strong environment with a focus on cybernetics. We’re unique in our level of integration, owning the entire design from circuit board level (Altium Designer) to the implemented code (Simulink, Yocto, QNX, etc.), and we work closely with the factory delivering the final products. Most testing during development is done locally in Trondheim, Norway. Due to this you must adapt the tasks for remote work as well as be able to travel frequently for longer periods of time.
