Our RD team is responsible for designing and testing radar and ultrasonic level measurement devices, including their connection to the Fieldbus. In this position, you will also develop your data analysis and problem-solving skills.
What will you do?
- Development and Implementation of SW solutions on research, new product development, and maintenance projects
- Execution of Verification Tests including formal recording of test results
- Parsing and generation of product data
- Maintenance and improvement of SW Dev tools (e.g. Build-server, tool-chains, etc.)
- Analysis of data acquired during product testing
- Writing of technical notes or reports
- Secure and safe handling of products and test equipment
- Active participation in team meetings, following development process (e.g. SCRUM)
What will you need to succeed?
- New graduate from university with a degree in Software / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Graduated from post-secondary school within the last 12 months.
- Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
- SW Development skills: C++, Python, SW Versioning tools and CI/CD
- Knowledge of HW / SW interfaces, low-level programming, device drivers, etc.
- Knowledge in data processing and analysis
- Knowledge of working in a laboratory environment or test facility including set-up, use and maintenance of lab and test equipment
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and cooperation skills when working with others to discuss and resolve issues related to testing and data analysis
- Diligence when working in a test facility following written and verbal instructions
- Compliance with all safety practices and protective equipment
- Must be able to work on-site at the Peterborough, ON location, five days per week.
Hourly rate is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 30.00 CAD - $ 40.00 CAD.
