What do you contribute?  

As part of your master's thesis, you will work on the following topics:

• You will conduct in-depth research on specialized large language models (LLMs) in project environments related to railway signaling technology.
• The specialized LLMs include preliminary training as well as targeted fine-tuning to project-specific documentation, relevant standards, and specialized expertise.
• Furthermore, you will evaluate domain-specific LLMs from an end customer perspective in terms of delivery speed, operational efficiency, and project performance using quantitative and qualitative evaluation approaches.
• You will assess how the identified added value for customers can be converted into measurable value streams for Siemens Mobility and derive recommendations for the integration of LLM-based solutions into project execution processes.

What do you bring along?

• You are studying engineering, industrial engineering, economics, IT, or a related field.
• You are proficient in using common MS Office applications.
• You have knowledge of how AI applications work.
• You are familiar with the use of common AI programs (e.g., ChatGPT), including the use of large language models (LLMs).
• Very good written and spoken English skills round off your profile.
