We are looking for Data / AI Engineer

You’ll make a difference by

• The Data & AI Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for designing, enabling, and supporting data-driven insights across Siemens Mobility India’s factories, offices, and projects.
• The role focuses on analytics, reporting, data platforms, and governance, supporting business growth, operational excellence, and digitalization initiatives.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and high-impact data and analytics solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Drive the deployment and adoption of the Data Management Framework across departments, ensuring best practices in data governance, security, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Design, build, and continuously enhance data processing and transformation solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
• Demonstrate strong SQL expertise, hands-on experience with data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), and proficiency in Power BI dashboard development and analytical reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines, analytics solutions, and AI/ML-ready datasets, ensuring data quality and readiness for current and future AI initiatives.
• Implement and support robust data models, solution designs, and system architectures to enable reliable, scalable, and performant analytics platforms.
• Domain knowledge in Finance and Manufacturing will be considered a strong added advantage, enabling deeper business understanding and more relevant, value-driven analytics solutions.
• Work closely with business teams across factories, projects, and corporate functions to understand data and analytics requirements and translate them into effective IT and data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical reports to support operational monitoring, management reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Build, enhance, and support data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
• Ensure high data quality, consistency, security, and compliance by driving adoption of the organization’s data governance and data management framework.
• Design and maintain scalable data models and solution architectures to enable reliable reporting, analytics, and future AI initiatives.
• Analyse enterprise data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities, proactively proposing insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Support data readiness for advanced analytics, AI, and GenAI use cases by ensuring clean, structured, and well-governed datasets.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data engineers, business stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data solutions.
• Monitor and continuously improve performance, stability, and usability of analytics platforms and reporting solutions.
• Support user adoption through documentation, training sessions, and knowledge transfer, enabling effective use of analytics tools across the organization.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) / MBA.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics projects.
• Extensive knowledge of analytics systems, especially cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS) and reporting tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong data analytical skills to identify key business drivers and trends.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other programming languages as needed.
• Hands-on experience in building data pipelines, data modeling, and implementing AI/ML solutions in business contexts.
• Basic understanding of software development principles, algorithm design, and coding best practices.
• Strong functional understanding of Finance and manufacturing process.
• Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Power BI for financial reporting and analytics.
• Proven experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, functional documentation, and solution design for corporate applications.
• ERP Cloud Platform Experience: Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Cloud) and their integration with existing on-premises systems, enabling better scalability, flexibility, and reduced infrastructure costs.
• Experience with quality assurance, data protection, and compliance methodologies.
• Ability to discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects as part of a collaborative team.
