• Track, analyze, and report weekly performance metrics to regional and corporate management.
• Coordinate daily operations with customer personnel, Siemens engineering, and other internal stakeholders.

Technical Duties

• Perform and supervise mechanical and electrical repairs on locomotive systems, including propulsion, brake systems, onboard electronics, and auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve complex failures.
• Review, interpret, and validate technical documentation, including mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Manage Field Modifications (FMIs), including planning, installation oversight, testing, and documentation.
• Ensure all work, failures, corrections, and replacements are accurately recorded in Siemens’ Commissioning and Warranty database.

Quality, Reliability & Compliance

• Implement Siemens quality standards and industry best practices to ensure safe and compliant operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends in failures and recommending preventive and corrective measures.
• Coordinate the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process for failed parts, ensuring timely shipment, documentation, and follow up.
• Assist engineering teams with technical investigations and long-term product reliability initiatives.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary on-site Siemens representative, fostering strong customer relationships.
• Communicate clearly regarding technical findings, operational risks, process improvements, and project status updates.
• Collaborate with other Siemens site leads to share best practices, knowledge, and improvement opportunities.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Proven experience in a field service, maintenance, or technical operations environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrated experience conducting root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with workplace and industrial safety standards (e.g., OSHA, FRA, general lockout/tagout procedures).

What will make you stand out:

• Knowledge of diesel-electric propulsion, Tier 4 emissions systems, and high-horsepower powertrains
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Charger locomotives or related Siemens rail products
• Familiarity with warranty management tools, CMMS platforms, or technical reporting systems
