Position Overview:

An Inventory Control Cycle Counter plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient management of inventory within the company. This position involves auditing, counting, and reconciliation of inventory levels to maintain a precise record of stock. The primary objective is to minimize discrepancies, prevent overstock situations, and contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the organization.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Effectively sort through products to resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Performs cycle counting of all required material in the stockroom.
  • Utilizes small hand tools and will be required to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet handlers, hand trucks, order pickers, and the like.
  • Utilize various tools, such as barcode scanners or RFID technology, to accurately record inventory levels.
  • Will use computer applications and computers to maintain accurate material flow transactions.
  • Able to complete an accurate count of product quantities across unique warehouse environments.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • 1–2 years of experience with SAP or demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems
  • Forklift and other material handling equipment experience preferred
  • Experience in distribution center environments preferred
  • Prior experience working with inventory or numerical data preferred
  • Intermediate math and analytical skills, with the ability to recognize trends
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control programs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Understanding of packaging, shipping containers, and the receiving process
  • Knowledge of warehouse layout and storage location types
  • Ability to concentrate and analyze effectively during counting processes, minimizing distractions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of inbound/outbound processes and supply chain flow
  • Reliable transportation

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to heights above 10 feet.
  • Walking long distances.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling on a repetitious basis.
  • Cycle Counter: continuous exposure to heat, cold, dust, lighting, and noise; work is conducted in high traffic areas.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $19.55/hr - $22.00/hr. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $19.55/hr - $22.00/hr per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
