Join our Team as a Corporate Commodity Engineer (f/m/d) for Cabinets & Low Voltage Switchgears, where you'll orchestrate technical expertise, resolve the commodity strategy, drive standardization and champion sustainability within the global supply chain!
• Acting as the technical expert and coach for Cabinets & Low Voltage Switchgears
• Driving the commodity strategy together with your commercial partners for your assigned material field with a focus on Cost and Value Engineering, (Supplier) Portfolio Management, Innovation, Supplier Quality, and Sustainability.
• Developing, implementing and fostering standardization approaches for components and technologies.
• Supporting Siemens' sustainability goals through close collaboration with suppliers and internal cross-functional partners.
• Identifying and evaluating innovative solutions and products from suppliers to meet business needs. Promoting and implementing selected innovations together with cross-functional partners.
• Handling and implementing Cost and Value Engineering projects in cross-functional collaboration, deriving efficiency measures from cost and price transparency
• Steering and executing of a preventive Supplier Quality strategy and coordination and driving pre-assessments and audit activities.
• Influencing the selection of preferred suppliers and products already in the early design in phase providing technical expertise and cost information.
• Running and coordination the global technology and quality networks, ensuring exchange of information in adequate frequency.
Your success is grounded in:
• Education: Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience & Skills: Professional experience in Engineering or R&D or assembly and commissioning activities on construction sites in projects, with extensive technical expertise in Cabinets & Low Voltage Switchgears and knowledge of the installed devices.
Proficiency in project management, cost analysis and optimization, as well as negotiation, moderation and presentation skills. International experience and intercultural adaptability as well as experience in leading global teams are desirable.
• Ways of working: Strategic and innovative mindset with strong decision-making abilities and customer focus. Creative problem solver with critical and analytical thinking, capable of managing complex situations and making data-driven decisions. Experience in managing cross-functional and intercultural teams, with a focus on building networks and partnerships.
• Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
