Position Overview:

Lead GBS Commercial Business Services, overseeing commercial and financial operations across Corporate and Business entities, including Analytics, Billing, Allocations, Reporting, and Real Estate services. Drive commercial project management perfection while ensuring compliance, profitability, and operational efficiency. Lead a diverse portfolio spanning Commercial Services, Real Estate Services, and Commercial Project Management.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • You will ensure implementation of approved finance and accounting policies and procedures for assigned organizational unit(s), that match respective legal requirements - (i.e. HGB, IFRS, GAAP).
  • You will liaise with our partners and customers to clarify and develop arguments & opportunities as a customer concern point and analyze and drive innovation and customer centricity throughout the organization.
  • You will be responsible for unit balance sheet, P&L reports, annual financial documents, and reports respectively to business management including results from various productivity measures and targets.
  • You will work with the Corporate Governance teams and actively seek feedback and drive compliant processes.
  • You will ensure internal controls are in place, and accounting aligns with all external regulations. Collaborate with internal and external Auditors as needed.
  • You will lead teams of professionals and support staffs in different organizational settings, understands and drives digitalization topics pertaining to controlling, accounting and procurement processes.
  • You will be responsible to ensure adequate quality standards and Business Continuity plans as defined by the respective corporate team in Siemens GBS and ensure we are always compliant and actively working on observations and recommendations.
  • You will actively drive the leadership development in your organization including the development of a succession pipeline based on facts, results and business impact.
  • You will put specific emphasis on the development of hands-on digital use cases in your organization as well as to our customers with a clear focus on end-to-end operational improvement scope.
  • You and your team will collaborate closely with a global network of other GBS entities to provide tailor-made solutions for our customers including digital solutions

Your success is grounded in:

  • You are a Postgraduate in Commerce or Engineering and have working experience/ knowledge on handling end to end Accounting and finance or similar processes.
  • You bring 18+ years of experience in Finance & accounting field with experience of handling Commercial and finance related functions, Closing & Reporting and other General ledger functions.
  • You should have worked with Accounting and Finance teams & with business CFOs on accounting and finance topics including but not limited to Financial planning, reporting and other topics including commercial project management and execution. You are used to cooperate with senior Finance decision makers and support the decision making process by preparing and presenting relevant data and conclusions
  • You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and analytical skills
  • You are someone flexible to work on all shifts and Agile attitude.
  • You have experience in handling large and diverse teams with focus on cultural sensitivity and Organizational change. Your leadership style is open, visible and result based spotting and development talents by exacting delegation of tasks.
  • Promote a customer-centric, performance-driven culture with ethical standards and compliance.
  • You should have proven ability in preparing and implementing business strategies with measurable success rates (example- RPA, design thinking, other process re-engineering and digitalization initiatives). You have an overall understanding how to implement financial use cases in a constantly evolving technology environment.
