Electroplating Process Technician - 3rd Shift

The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
We are looking for an Electroplating Technician to join our team on 3rd shift at Roebuck, SC.
This hands-on role is essential to maintaining high-quality plating operations and ensuring continuous, efficient production. Working under the guidance of our Lead Technician, you'll be responsible for monitoring plating processes, conducting chemical analyses, maintaining equipment, and serving as a key member of our Hazardous Chemical Response Team to meet our quality and safety standards.
Shift Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am
Hourly Pay: $27.80 + $1.25 Shift Differential
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Familiarity with chemical handling, safety protocols, and environmental compliance
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend work as part of rotation
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language for safety communications, documentation, and team collaboration
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of industrial electroplating experience
- Previous laboratory experience using common lab instrumentation and analytical methods
- Previous hazmat response team experience
- Forklift certification
You'll make impact by:
- Process Monitoring & Control
- Previous laboratory experience using common lab instrumentation and analytical methods
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot process equipment including pumps, hoists, and navigate process control automation software
- Prepare, start up, and shut down plating process equipment following standard operating procedures
- Assist in preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment uptime
- Chemical Management & Safety
- Maintain chemical inventories and safely handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in regulatory compliance
- Calculate and perform chemical additions and solution adjustments
- Serve on the Hazardous Chemical Response Team and respond to emergency situations
- Wear required PPE including PAPR and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Demonstrate commitment to and actively participate in our safety-first culture
- Having strong attention to detail and dedication to accurate record-keeping
- Commitment to maintaining continuous operations schedule

The pay for this position is $27.80 per hour, plus an additional $1.25 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
