A Snapshot of Your Day  

As a member of an international development team, you will be working on software development for Automation in a system integration environment for Marine, Offshore and Process Industry Domains. The Automation Solutions are part of our integral Siemens Energy (SE)- Electrification, Automation and Digital portfolio, which require Know-How and background in the above domains.  Your task would include developing the SE industrial Process and Module Control Suite basis and application software framework (EAD Business) based on the TIA or PCS7 or PCS Neo family, as well as designing HMI process screens for SCADA system like IA Ignition. Use Figma Tool for interface Design. Understanding of Industry Standards -Library IEC63131, Safety IEC61508/511, cyber security IEC62443, electrical IED's IEC 61850. The Siemens Energy Oil & Gas Offshore (SOGO) -offshore process and safety control systems and includes process control, emergency and process shut down, power management, marine systems on floating assets, and fire and gas. SOGO ICSS assure seamless interface to Omnivise for Offshore.

You would work within an agile / Scrum process environment to ensure progress is made, problems are addressed, and the project is successfully completed. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to contribute to the development of high-quality software that meets the needs of the SE industry.

You’ll make a difference by: 

Key Responsibilities: 

Development of Library for PCS 7/TIA Portal / PCS Neo for EAD business and application functions in Marine, Oil and Gas, Paper Industry Domains
Knowledge of SCL (Structured Control Language) for Library development, working in the environment and versioning of the same
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time
Utilize Figma to create and maintain design documentation and user interfaces.
Designing HMI process screens based on the SCADA system (WinCC, Ignition)
Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems.
Work independent on backlog items.
Provide training and support to end-users of automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems. 
Understanding of domains in Oil&Gas, Marine and Paper Industry

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

Master’s/bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Having 3-10 years of experience in automation and control systems in Marine, Oil&Gas, Paper
Expertise in DCS, Drives and PMS (power management systems), 
Extensive knowledge of SCL/CFC/SCL
Extensive knowledge of Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Understanding of web development frameworks
Experience with Figma
Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
Experience working in international development teams.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 
Working knowledge in libraries of SOGO, SIPAPER, SISHIP etc will be added advantage
Understanding of SOGO- Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) and Omnivise Offshore
