Head of Legal, Compliance and Data Privacy (w/m/d)

Location: CEECA Zone (Remote)

Siemens Healthineers is looking for an experienced lawyer to support its business in Ukraine, in the position of Head of Legal, Compliance and Data Privacy, reporting to the Head of Compliance EMEA 3 and to the Head of Legal for the Zone Central Eastern Europe & Central Asia (CEECA). The position is responsible for the support, control and management of all legal, data privacy and compliance aspects of the company and its business and for ensuring the implementation of the Siemens Compliance system in Ukraine and additional countries.  


Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to manage all legal, data privacy and compliance topics and risks of the business of Siemens Healthineers in Ukraine. Your tasks include:
  • Acting as trusted advisor of the local management and staff for any legal and compliance questions 
  • Providing advice and support in connection with public tenders and public procurement proceedings
  • Following up on corporate and company law matters, including the preparation of notices, board meetings, filings, etc. 
  • Drafting, commenting and negotiating various types of contracts and general terms and conditions 
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Ukrainian legal developments and keeping the management and the Legal and Compliance organization informed
  • Effective engagement and management of external counsel where required
  • Communicating effectively with customers and public authorities
  • Conducting internal and external training on important legal and compliance matters, developments and court decisions
  • Supporting the Legal and Compliance management in their strategic and operational tasks relating to Ukraine
  • Providing advice on regulatory topics, including import, export and customs topics as well as data privacy
  • Ensuring and improving the implementation of the Siemens Healthineers Compliance System and the Siemens Healthineers Data Privacy System in your respective area/s of responsibility
  • Proactively creating awareness for, anticipating and mitigating legal and compliance risks
  • Supporting compliance audits
  • Closely cooperating with Legal and Compliance colleagues of other Healthineers entities outside Ukraine 

Your qualifications and experience: 

  • Law degree and preferably admission as an attorney-at-law in Ukraine with at least 3 years work experience in a similar position (legal and compliance) in an international environment (preferably in an international company). Prior experience in investigations/ audits is an advantage.
  • Excellent legal knowledge and experience with public procurement law, contract law and corporate law.
  • Proficient Ukrainian and English language skills.
  • Experience in cooperation in a project team and disciplinary or functional management
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to be a trusted partner.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills and diplomacy.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively in an international working environment (locally and with headquarters in Austria). 
  • Aptitude for presenting and teaching. 
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Independent, entrepreneurial working style.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Readiness to travel within Ukraine or other countries for trainings and special assignments.

What else do I need to know?

For some countries we are required by law to disclose salary component for the advertised positions.

To Candidates applying from Austria: The gross annual salary according to the collective agreement for this position is at least 50.000,00 EUR. Depending on education and experience, overpayment is possible.
To Candidates applying from Slovakia: Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 4.100,00 EUR gross /month + VAR.
