  Responsibilities

 New subassembly Localization phase/role - 

• Functions as per defined responsibilities in development activities during different phases  of localization of upcoming subassemblies.

• Communicates independently with relevant stake holders in Siemens India / SWF Siemens AG for alignments or problem solving.

• Supports in line design/setup activities for new subassemblies for achieving peak performance during production.

• Coordinates with various functions as a key driver for 

 Production role - 

• Daily/Weekly/Monthly production planning and control as per turnover targets.

• Organize, monitor, and control the assembly area regarding assigning employees, working procedures, material, processes, and tools, so that targets related to safety, quality, delivery and cost are met.

• Provide support to technicians by coordinating within different departments/functions (such as Logistics, Warehouse, Non std Design, Quality etc).

• Monitor key performance indicators for assembly groups/lines. If necessary, initiate measures to resolve or avoid problems.

• Conduct meetings with respective team members. Discuss the status of production operations. 

• Give regular feedback to technicians team about safety & quality issues and help in improving competency of technicians. 

• Plan, assign and assist in the training and development of technicians. Track progress by updating the skills and competency matrix.

• Organize, lead, and execute improvement projects and activities. 

• Handling of internal & external audits (ISO, Internal, WWQ, Safety etc - Documentation, processes, employee trainings)

• Tracks input man hours Vs output man hours, Daily output, Monthly Output for releasing monthly productivity figures for responsible assembly group.

  

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 • BE in Mechanical Engineering.

• Typically, up to 8 to 10 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successfully demonstrating Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented in the job profile.

• English Language – Candidate must have professional written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact effectively as a leader for the assigned production area.

• Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)– Basic Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and procedures. 

• Lean Manufacturing – Basic knowledge of lean principles and techniques for optimizing processes and eliminating waste. 

  

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 • Demonstrates knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for supervised groups. Understand and apply supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.

• Demonstrates flexibility in working approach as per business requirements.

• Demonstrates negotiation skills for resolving issues related to technicians at lowest levels.
