Role Purpose

The Smart Infrastructure Strategy Professional supports the development and execution of smart infrastructure strategies across cities, buildings, utilities, mobility, and industrial infrastructure. The role focuses on strategic analysis, planning, and coordination to enable digital, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure programs.

Working closely with senior leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders, this role translates strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, roadmaps, and business cases.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Analysis

  • Support the design and refinement of smart infrastructure and smart city strategies
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and trend analysis across IoT, AI, digital platforms, and urban infrastructure
  • Assist in developing multi‑year roadmaps, operating models, and investment plans

Program & Initiative Support

  • Support planning and execution of digital transformation and smart infrastructure initiatives
  • Track progress of strategic initiatives, programs, and pilots across infrastructure domains
  • Coordinate inputs across engineering, IT, sustainability, operations, and finance teams

Business Case & Value Assessment

  • Develop business cases, cost–benefit analyses, and ROI assessments for smart infrastructure projects
  • Support evaluation and prioritization of initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and risk
  • Assist in preparing leadership presentations, strategy papers, and decision notes

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as infrastructure, digital, sustainability, and operations teams
  • Support engagement with technology partners, consultants, and ecosystem players
  • Coordinate with public-sector stakeholders where applicable (e.g., smart city or utility programs)

Technology & Innovation Enablement

  • Track emerging technologies and solutions relevant to smart infrastructure (IoT platforms, analytics, digital twins, automation)
  • Support proof‑of‑concepts, pilots, and innovation programs
  • Help define functional and strategic requirements for smart infrastructure platforms

Sustainability & ESG Integration

  • Support integration of energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainability goals into infrastructure strategies
  • Assist in defining metrics and dashboards for sustainability, asset performance, and resource optimization
  • Contribute to ESG reporting inputs related to smart infrastructure initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Urban Infrastructure, Architecture, or related field
  • Master’s degree (MBA, M.Tech, Urban Planning, or Systems Engineering) preferred

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in strategy, consulting, digital infrastructure, smart cities, or infrastructure programs
  • Exposure to infrastructure domains such as energy, buildings, mobility, utilities, or industrial systems
  • Experience supporting strategy, planning, or transformation initiatives
