At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. Based in Oradea, we are looking for a “Plant IT Support Engineer” will act as accountable support liaison for Manufacturing Management, in all IT related matters.

The role that you will play:

§  System Deployment: Design, implement, and configure new IT systems and solutions tailored to factory operations, ensuring security best practices are integrated from the outset.

§  Cybersecurity Management: Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard systems against cyber threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security audits.

§  Maintenance & Support: Monitor and maintain existing systems, ensuring high availability and performance while adhering to security standards.

§  Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, with a focus on minimizing security vulnerabilities.

§  Collaboration: Work closely with providers & internal teams understand IT needs and provide secure, effective solutions.

§  Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, security measures, and incident response procedures.

What you need to make real what matters:

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying and managing applications is an advantage.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of cybersecurity principles to protect systems and data.
• Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a related field is expected.
• Language knowledge: proficient in Romanian and in English.
