Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future-Oriented

In this role you will:

  • Install and commission depot workshop equipment at the Orchard Hills Stabling & Maintenance Facility as part of a major rail infrastructure project.
  • Support project installation and commissioning teams with hands-on mechanical trade expertise.
  • Install and commission mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for specialised depot equipment.
  • Operate tools, specialised equipment and measuring devices to safely complete installation and commissioning activities.
  • Attend occasional off-site callouts to support in-service failures during the project phase.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Siemens, client safety standards and rail site requirements, including JSEA and risk assessments.

Your qualifications and skills to create a better tomorrow

  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering / Fitting & Machining.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial mechanical installation and commissioning environments.
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; plumbing skills desirable.
  • Rail Induroustry Worker (RIW) card and Working at Heights certification and confined space.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of depot workshop / heavy industrial equipment such as wheel lathes, overhead cranes, heavy lifting equipment, automatic train wash systems, material handling equipment and workshop machinery.
