Are you ready to mentor top industry leaders in the implementation of the SINUMERIK CNC’s advanced Technology? Siemens is viewed as a technology driver and looked at as the subject matter expert when it comes to advanced machining. Our Siemens Digital Experience Center (DEX) is the key driver of this technology into the Americas. We are currently looking for a motivated candidate to join our Technology Application Team. As a member of this team, you’ll become a subject matter expert of the SINUMERIK control and support internal employee mentoring, OEM’s and importers in how to get the most out of our technology. This position will have international travel but will be based in the Illinois region. Location must be commutable to Elk Grove Village IL.

The Siemens SINUMERIK product line is the market leader in Machine Tool CNC motion control technology and its performance and design is unmatched in the industry.

We are looking for Technology Systems Engineer. This position will be based in Elk Grove Village, IL.

You’ll make an impact by:

    • Primary role as the lead instructor for DEX based in-person and online classes
      • Will be responsible for commissioning classes hosted at the DEX and remote
      • Initial focus will be on commissioning classes with growth into programming courses. 
      • Once up to speed instructor responsibilities will consume 60% of time 
    • Additional responsibilities will include
      • Mentor targeted machine tool OEM’s and importers in the implementation of the SINUMERIK CNC from the perspective of technology.
      • Present Siemens technology to large audiences to drive market awareness.
      • Establish close relationships with selected accounts, increase their confidence level in Siemens and create a demand for Siemens CNC controls by providing technical, sales, and marketing support.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years Experience working in the machine tool industry, preferably machine tool service and support.
  • 5+ years PLC programming experience required. SINUMERIK PLC experience an advantage.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience. BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree not required but would be acceptable.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machine tool commissioning and PLC functionality.
  • Basic understanding of SINUMERIK CNC operation, and programming.
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to work across functions to drive value into market; must have demonstrated ability to successfully apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for CNC Machine Tools.
  • The ability to travel 20% both domestic and internationally
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of 10 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
