We are seeking a commercially driven Sustainability Professional to help accelerate our clients’ energy transition across Spain and Portugal. In this role, you will support customers in achieving their sustainability and decarbonization goals, improving energy efficiency, and reducing operational costs through end-to-end energy transition solutions, from strategic advisory to digital services and modernization of building systems.

As part of our Iberia team, you will play a key role in driving business growth for our energy transition services, acting as the regional link between local market execution and our global portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial skills with solid expertise in sustainability and energy transition.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for building energy-efficiency and sustainability services across Spain and Portugal.
  • Build and develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within existing buildings, particularly across key sectors such as commercial real estate.
  • Understand customers’ sustainability goals and translate them into energy performance, decarbonization, modernization, and regulatory-compliance solutions that create clear business value.
  • Promote solutions including building automation and controls modernization, digital services, HVAC upgrades, plant optimization, lighting efficiency, electrification, renewable integration, and energy-monitoring services.
  • Collaborate with local business units and global teams to drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities, positioning sustainability as a growth lever within the installed base.

  • Lead or support commercial activities including tender processes, offer strategy, customer presentations, negotiations, and deal closing.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and external partners, while coordinating with technical and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful project handover.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field.
  • Several years of proven B2B sales, consulting, or solution-selling experience in one or more of the following areas: building technologies, energy services, building automation, HVAC modernization, energy management, ESCO/ESE models, facility services, or decarbonization solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts in service- or solution-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and retrofit opportunities in existing buildings.
  • Experience creating commercial value propositions based on savings, sustainability outcomes, and lifecycle economics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, finance, and operations teams.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Willingness to travel across Spain and Portugal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience across Spain and Portugal, or strong exposure to Iberian customers and partners.
  • Portuguese language skills.
  • Experience with public tenders, public-sector sales, or large multi-site portfolios.
  • Familiarity with EPC/ESCO/ESE or performance-based contracting models.
  • Understanding of energy audits, measurement principles, building automation, and retrofit business cases.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy installed base into more efficient, digital solutions.
