As a Partner of Choice, our Global Business Services (GBS) support Siemens businesses worldwide in achieving excellence in their internal processes across areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Customer Services, and many more.
We are currently looking for an MRP Controller to provide services to Siemens Mobility US.

Role Description

The MRP Controller ensures parts availability and appropriate inventory levels for maintenance activities related to locomotives, passenger coaches, and Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) across all Siemens Mobility business segments.

The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the proper execution of material and inventory planning strategies. The MRP Controller is also a key member of the Supply Chain Management team, supporting Maintenance Contracts, Overhauls, and Spare Parts, while providing accurate reporting and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, production schedules, and project/customer demands within ERP systems to make informed decisions. This includes creating purchase requisitions, stock transfer orders, and processing exception messages to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.
  • Manage and track inventory transfers across projects and Siemens Mobility units, including excess inventory analysis and coordination within SCM to maximize availability while minimizing surplus stock.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis of outstanding parts to be purchased for management, and use data analytics to monitor on-time execution and process efficiency, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain MRP parameters and material master data to ensure optimal material flow and system performance. Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to address process improvement opportunities and prevent recurrence.
  • Define material lot sizes to minimize inventory holding and transit costs based on production schedules.
  • Monitor the Bill of Materials (BOM) and coordinate with production planning, material project managers, and engineering teams in case of discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Information Systems, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant Siemens experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP as an MRP Controller or in a similar role (mandatory).
  • Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation, with strong attention to detail and accuracy (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience in a make-to-order manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
