For our IT Business Partnering team, we are looking for an Application Manager to help us drive digital transformation within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to get to know you.

You'll make an impact by

• Strategic Business Alignment & Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders, understanding their operational processes, strategic goals, and challenges.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business units regarding application-related needs, issues, and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where application solutions can drive business value, improve efficiency, or mitigate risks.
• Application Architecture and Lifecycle Management:
  • Collaborate with business and IT strategy team to define, prioritize, and manage the application roadmap, ensuring it supports current and future business needs.
  • Oversee the application lifecycle, including planning, selection, implementation, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning of applications according to the company application lifecycle management guidelines.
  • Work with enterprise architects and technical teams to ensure application solutions are scalable, secure, and integrated within the existing IT ecosystem.
• Application Management:
  • Lead and facilitate meetings to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for new or enhanced application functionalities. Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional specifications for development or configuration teams.
  • Monitor and support the application-relevant project, ensuring the timeline, quality, and budget meet the planning and requirements.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and health of critical business applications.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for existing applications, focusing on user experience, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships for third-party applications, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and value is delivered.
  • Work with the cybersecurity team to ensure all application management activities adhere to internal IT policies, security standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks. Participate in risk assessments related to application usage and data management. Support audit processes related to application controls and data integrity.

Your defining qualities

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Business Partnering, Application Management, Business Analysis, or a similar role.
• Proven experience with enterprise-level application platforms management.
• Experience with digitalization and application lifecycle management principles and methodologies. Experience in application platform management in manufacturing, customer service modules, etc., is preferred. Familiarity with development languages such as Java and .NET is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and popular AI technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
