Developer & Automation Engineer (C++ / CI/CD) - (m/f/d)
At our Siemens R&D Center we are focused on product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.
We would like to invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products within established, stable, and successful development project „ET 200 IO´s“. Within this project, we have initiated the development of internal, universally reusable software components.
Your task will be:
- Identification and elicitation of development requirements, review of specifications and architecture
- Programming of new functionalities in C and/or C++ for embedded devices (C++11/14 for ARM architecture)
- Intensive use of AI agents to speed up development, writing of routine algorithms and refactoring
- Automation in GitHub Enterprise and management of the CI/CD pipeline, creation of portable and tested C++ artifacts
- Cooperation with QA to ensure product quality requirements using automated E2E tests utilizing virtualization and emulation
- Participation in the review of architecture, specifications and code from the perspective of build and deployment
- Creativity in system improvement and integration of AI tools into the workflow
What we will appreciate from you:
- Embed AI into everyday engineering workflows (from requirements to release) to boost speed, quality, and collaboration
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics, computer engineering or a related field
- Technical team leadership ability, vision
- Support and motivate the team in the use of AI tools and systematic improvement
- Extensive experience with the C and/or C++, knowledge of design patterns
- Experience with the development of embedded and real-time operating systems at the architectural level (hardware abstraction
- Experience with the use of HW debugging tools and knowledge of the entire development cycle
- Ability to present team results, defend technical solutions
- Fluent knowledge of the English language in spoken and written form
