About the Job
We are seeking a Brightly Software Solution Consultant in India, a dynamic and knowledgeable professional to join our growing team and be an integral part of the broader Siemens India organisation.
As a Solution Consultant, you will work closely with Siemens India sales teams and the APAC sales and leadership group, providing presales and solution consulting expertise on the Brightly Asset Essentials platform. The initial focus will be on Manufacturing customers and Higher Education institutions with facilities management requirements. This approach will allow you to develop strong capability across asset management use cases, build reference customers, and support broader market expansion in India.
You will also collaborate closely with the Brightly India product team, fostering strong in country partnerships between customer facing and product functions. This collaboration will enable you to provide timely market feedback and contribute to product enhancements that reflect local requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Solution Consultants based in Australia, you will act as a technical consultant for sales and operations, working collaboratively with sales teams, APAC leadership, customers, business partners, and the local product team to help organisations transform how they manage their most critical assets.
What You Will Do
Presales & Solution Consulting
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations to sales representatives and prospective clients, showcasing the value and capabilities of Brightly Asset Essentials
- Collaborate with Siemens India sales team and APAC sales leadership to understand client requirements and position the software effectively
- Conduct in depth discovery sessions to assess and define customer requirements across asset management and maintenance operations
- Design and architect asset management solutions for manufacturing & facilities education environments, integrating with existing systems
- Partner with Siemens India and APAC teams to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities across manufacturing and industrial sectors
- Lead technical proposal development and respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed, accurate, and persuasive technical content
- Conduct compelling proof-of-concept sessions and pilot implementations for prospective manufacturing clients
Market Focus
- Develop deep expertise in asset management use cases including production equipment maintenance, facility management, energy management, and compliance
- Understand manufacturing-specific challenges such as planned maintenance, unplanned downtime reduction, OEE optimization, and regulatory compliance
- Support our Product marketing team to build case studies and success stories from existing implementations to support broader market development[HS1] [MP2]
- Support expansion strategy into other verticals as the India market matures
Customer Engagement & Value Creation
- Support sales and execution teams in building asset management solutions for complex manufacturing, higher education & facilities customer requirements[HS3]
- Drive revenue growth by contributing to and managing the pre-sales technical process
- Translate technical features into business value, ROI, and strategic outcomes for plant managers, maintenance directors, operations leaders, and C-suite executives
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across facilities management, maintenance, operations, IT, and sustainability departments
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights on asset management best practices and industry trends.
- Educate customers about Brightly solutions through presentations, technical evaluations, and follow-up
APAC Regional & R&D Collaboration
- Work closely with the APAC sales and leadership team to align on regional strategies, priorities, and go-to-market approaches
- Participate in APAC regional planning sessions, strategy meetings, and knowledge-sharing forums
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants across the APAC region to share best practices and lessons learned
- Act as a liaison between clients and the product team, providing structured feedback to influence the product roadmap
- Collaborate closely with the Brightly Product team to share customer insights, market requirements, and competitive intelligence
- Actively partner with the Product team to understand product roadmap, upcoming features, and technical capabilities
Technical Solution Design & Execution Support
- Design system architectures for integrated asset management solutions in manufacturing environments, including IoT, cloud, and mobile components
- Estimate bill of materials (including software licenses) and optimize system architecture to achieve business objectives
- Configure and customize demonstrations to showcase relevant manufacturing use cases
- Provide technical guidance during engineering, configuration, and commissioning phases, particularly for Siemens manufacturing site implementations
- Support the execution cycle of new system solutions, ensuring smooth handoff from sales to implementation teams
- Work with the Product team to troubleshoot complex technical issues and escalate product defects or enhancement requests
Market Development
- Stay current on sustainability trends, asset management innovations, and software solutions
- Participate in industry events, webinars, and customer forums focused on manufacturing and facilities sectors
- Share knowledge and best practices with the broader Solution Consulting team globally
- Collaborate with marketing on case studies, success stories, and content creation, particularly highlighting manufacturing implementations
What You Need
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of overall working experience in enterprise software solutions, preferably in asset management, facilities management, CMMS, EAM, or related domains
- 2-3+ years in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or product management activities
- Strong background in manufacturing environments – experience with manufacturing operations, production facilities, or industrial asset management is highly desirable
- Proven track record of supporting complex B2B software sales cycles
Technical Skills & Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of manufacturing asset management, including production equipment maintenance, facility management, preventive/predictive maintenance, and manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as ERP (SAP, Oracle), MES, SCADA, and maintenance management systems
- Strong understanding of asset management principles, maintenance strategies, and facilities operations
- Strong understanding of sustainability practices and software solutions, particularly in manufacturing contexts
- Hands-on experience with asset management systems, CMMS, or EAM platforms (Brightly, IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Infor EAM, or equivalent)
- Experience with system integration and ability to architect solutions that integrate with existing enterprise systems
- Familiarity with SaaS/cloud-based software solutions and modern application architectures
- Knowledge of IoT solutions, Cloud platforms, and Big Data
- Understanding of security solutions and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools
- Ability to understand technical product architecture and communicate effectively with engineering teams

- Certifications in asset management, facilities management, sustainability, or related areas (CAFM, FMP, CEM, LEED, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Previous experience working in organizations with both sales and R&D functions
- Experience working across APAC markets or in regional roles
