• Overall responsibility for complete Network studies of FACTS projects.
• Define and deliver detailed simulation studies to support the connection of renewable generation, FACTS devices, HVDC links.
• Senior engineers shall show technical leadership with the team and provide training and mentoring for less experienced colleagues.
• A deep understanding of power system modelling and analysis with extensive experience in at least three of the following areas: Load flow and short circuit calculations, dynamic(RMS)   simulation, power quality and system monitoring, EMT simulation for transients, EMT simulation for control interaction studies and automation scripting
• Experience with industry standard analysis tools such as PS/E,Power factory, PSCAD and MATLAB/Simulink. Knowledge of the python scripting language would be advantageous.
• Preparation and active participation of technical decisions in arrangement with the project manager and technical project manager
• Excellent knowledge of the electricity industry, including interfaces with the regulator, the electricity System operator and other Transmission Owners and distribution network operators.
• Identification and evaluation of project-oriented risks and opportunities. Working out suggestions to minimize possible risks, recognizing benefits and opportunities.

Knowledge acquired in 8 - 15 years in FACTS Engineering

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or comparable

Technical Skills:                                                                                                                                                                                                   

• Possess excellent knowledge of Power System studies tools, requirement analysis, Power system modelling.
• Proficiency in LV Breaker study, Relay co-ordination, Protection scheme validation etc.
• Experience of high voltage projects including concept design, modeling, testing and acceptance Proficiency in power system analysis packages PSSE, PSCAD, MATHCAD and MATLAB.?
• Expertise in power system studies for a wide range of projects including Load flow, fault level, transient stability, harmonics, protection settings, relay co-ordination, motor starting, sub synchronous oscillation/resonance, cable routing,                                                                              
• Solid Understanding of FACTS technologies, main circuit parameters calculation, Insulation co-ordination, Transient stress, fault scenarios.
• Performed Tender stage studies like design of HVD parameters, filter-rating selection, circuit current requirement and prepare various technical reports to submit during contract stage.                                                                                                                                                                                                     
• Deep Knowledge about and Experience with Testing Techniques of HV components, equipment specification                                                                                                                                                                                                   
• Extensive Experience in understanding and managing complex customer specifications. Expert level  Review of multiple projects /tender submission simultaneously due to acquired expertise.                                                                                                                                                                                             
• Deep Knowledge of applicable norms and standards                                                                                                                                                                                            
• Extensive Experience in tendering or execution of large turnkey projects
