We are looking for System Engineer TCMS – FDCU & EVR

You’ll make a difference by

Job Summary:

 As a System Engineer – TCMS FDCU & EVR, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and validating Fault Detection Control Unit (FDCU) and Event Recorder (EVR) functionalities for modern train control systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable diagnostics, fault handling, event logging, and monitoring functionalities across rolling stock platforms.

Your Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define and develop FDCU and Event Recorder functionalities within TCMS architecture.
• Alignment with component supplier and  development of RArS, SWrS and Test specification. 
• Analyse diagnostic logs, fault records, and communication traces for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support software integration, validation, on-vehicle testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with system, software, testing, RAMS, and cybersecurity teams for successful project execution.
• Prepare and review system specifications, interface documents, and test specifications.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61131, IEC 61375, IEC 50128, EN 50657, and project requirements.
• Support customer discussions, technical reviews, and issue resolution activities.
• Contribute to improving diagnostics capability, reliability, and maintainability of train systems.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• 5–10 years of experience in TCMS, rolling stock, diagnostics, or train control system engineering.
•Experience in development of control documents, RArS, SWrS, Etc.
• Hands-on experience with MVB, WTB, Ethernet, TRDP, and onboard communication protocols.
• Sound Knowledge of train subsystems such as traction, brake, HVAC, auxiliary systems, and vehicle control functions.
• Good understanding of railway standards such as IEC 61131, IEC 61375, IEC 50128, and EN 50657.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural engineering teams.
• Exposure to predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, cybersecurity, or data analytics concepts will be an added advantage.
