The Project Engineer will support the Onshore Project Manager (PM) in managing current projects related to MMI refurbishment, TICU refurbishment, and similar future projects. This role involves handling all technical tasks within the project and acting as the right hand of the PM. The tasks range from support in technical clarifications during the design phase and to support installation and Test and Commissioning on site. The Project Engineer will report directly to the Onshore Project Manager. The position is based in Kaohsiung, possible to support project which executed in Taipei.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and Representation: Act on behalf of the onshore PM towards customers and internal/external partners.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend regular and ad-hoc project meetings to ensure information and requests are understood and communicated within the project team.
  • Documentation and Delivery Monitoring: Oversee document submission and material delivery to ensure proper control.
  • Site Activities Support: Assist with material delivery, dismounting, installation, unpacking, packing, transportation checks, and storage at the site or destination warehouse.
  • Subcontractor and Client Monitoring: Supervise subcontractors or clients during dismounting, installation, and testing at the site, providing advice or corrective measures when necessary.
  • Test Verification: Participate in onshore test verification during day or night shifts.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Investigate, coordinate, and report on-site technical problems and issues.
  • Reliability Testing: Involve in reliability verification tests, preliminary failure investigations, troubleshooting and coordinates with end users to collect required failure information.
  • Spare Parts and Warranty Activities: Engage in spare parts and warranty project activities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English at the site or meetings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in railway E&M projects or similar field
  • Good in reading, listening, and speaking English; good command of Mandarin.
  • Understanding of project submission processes and knowledge of scheduling and quality management.
  • Strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work day or night shifts as required.
  • Experience in Railway E&M project execution and fieldwork; Rolling Stock, Power Electronics (inverter) experience is plus.
  • 3rd level EHS (S&H) certification license is plus.
