What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) 

  • Orchestrate Techno-Commercial Sourcing: Manage the end-to-end procurement of complex production machinery, automation solutions, and specialized tools, ensuring technical specifications align with commercial targets. 
  • Engineer the Spare Parts Strategy: Drive the lifecycle management of critical spares and consumables, balancing stock availability with cost control to prevent production downtime. 
  • Bridge the Engineering-Procurement Gap: Collaborate deeply with Equipment, Maintenance, and Process teams to translate technical requirements into actionable sourcing strategies. 
  • Lead Strategic Negotiations: Conduct high-stakes negotiations and contracting in line with Siemens’ global procurement standards, focusing on technical capability, risk mitigation, and long-term support. 
  • Manage the Equipment Lifecycle: Support the journey from initial ordering to installation and production ramp-up, including managing after-sales service and payment milestones. 
  • Optimize the Supplier Ecosystem: Continuously evaluate and refine the supplier base, tracking performance to improve delivery speed and optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 
  • Execute Digital Procurement: Utilize SAP and advanced procurement tools to issue purchase orders, track global deliveries, and manage urgent "line-stop" spare parts demands.

Your Defining Qualities (Requirements) 

  • Technical Educational Core: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, or Industrial); you must be able to speak the "language" of the engineers you support. 
  • Procurement Professionalism: 3+ years of experience in technical procurement, with a specific focus on Capex (Equipment) or MRO (Spare Parts). 
  • Industry Context: Background in Electronics Manufacturing or Semiconductor environments is a major advantage; you understand the high-precision nature of the field. 
  • Strategic Negotiator: Exceptional ability to navigate complex contracts and commercial terms, ensuring Siemens gets the best value without compromising technical integrity. 
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: High proficiency in SAP and data analytics; you use data to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain risks. 
  • Cross-Functional Navigator: A proactive communicator who can influence Engineering, Finance, and Quality stakeholders to reach a consensus on sourcing decisions. 
  • Global Communication: Professional fluency in English; you are comfortable managing suppliers and internal teams across different time zones.
