Energy, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine Engineering, Gurgaon as Gas Turbines Service Engineer for Field Instructions. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development & service environment.
In our responsibility of conducting power plant modernization and upgrades for gas turbines, effective communication between engineering and site personnel is essential. This communication largely takes place through checklists and protocols.
As a Service Engineer for Revision Checklists (m/f/d), you will support the maintenance and development of the database necessary for checklists and protocols. In close collaboration with field service personnel, engineering, and other interfaces, you will gather relevant information and work as part of a team to develop necessary and potential work packages for the continuous improvement of the content of the checklists and the checklist tool.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

Maintenance and content management of the checklist tool across different trades. This includes, among other things, content coordination and clarification of technical requirements with relevant departments and IT.
Planning of work packages and coordination with the personnel responsible in the departments.
Transferring the technical content from the departments into the checklist tool.
Regular checks on the currency of the data.
Independently identifying and naming content deficiencies and contradictions (e.g., deviations from checklist items and protocols, significant content discrepancies in different checklists, etc.).
Identifying potential improvements in the tool and coordinating further development with IT.
Defining errors to enable IT to quickly resolve issues.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Bachelor or Master degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical or Materials)
5+ Years of Professional experience in the power plant or gas turbine business.
Knowledge of gas turbine technology and the associated service business is desirable (possibly knowledge of generators and steam turbines).
Good English skills in spoken and written form; German skills are desirable.
Programming knowledge in Oracle Apex; additional programming skills are a plus.
Extensive experience in dealing with internal customers.
Extensive experience in collaborating with intercultural teams (Germany, USA, Dubai, China, Mexico, India), as well as knowledge of differences in communication styles,           handling challenges, etc.
High degree of independence, excellent communication skills, resilience.
A pragmatic working style, combined with an open and curious attitude towards new innovations and challenges (e.g., how to make the tool faster and more efficient, how to simplify/improve processes).

We’ve got quite a lot to offer. How about you?

This role is based at Site (Gurgaon). You’ll also get to visit other locations in India and beyond, so you’ll need to go where this journey takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come.
