Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as “Gas Turbine R&D: Manager, Product Engineering and Project Management Office”. 

This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development & service environment.
In this role you organize, coordinate, and control business activities for Gas Turbine product development including modernization and upgrade of products as part of a global Engineering environment.  You lead, develop, and motivate a group of dedicated employees to achieve and exceed challenging targets.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

Guide and support your team comprising of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Product Development and Operations Engineers in Leading/Executing Gas Turbine Product Development Projects and activities.
Drive and support strategic initiatives aimed at improving Quality of deliverables, responsiveness, productivity, and expertise.
Stakeholder management with Products and PMO Global team, SPEL India Management Team and Internal partners within Gas Services Product Development. Develop and leverage relationships within and across teams and/or organizational units to achieve results.
Ensure that the internal or external customer’s perspective is a driving force behind strategic priorities, business decision, organizational process, and individual activities.
Establish systems and processes to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented individuals. 
Support operational and strategic project portfolio management, resource and project conflict management
Create a work environment where people can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet current and future business challenges. Driving organization and cultural changes as required to achieve strategic objectives. 
Engage individuals in developing and committing to an action plan that targets specific behaviors, competences or knowledge needed to ensure performance improvement.
Focus and manage individual performance by helping others set performance goals.  Track results and evaluate performance effectiveness.
Make decisions and initiate action to ensure that business unit policies and practices leverage the capabilities and insights of individuals with diverse backgrounds, cultures, styles, abilities, and motivation – creating an inclusive environment.


We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Ph.D., Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related branch, such as aeronautical, aerospace, civil or naval engineering.
10+ years of experience, preferably in the Product design, analysis and service of turbo machinery, along with strong decision making and project management skills; leadership experience will be added advantage 
Thorough professional know-how in design, development and operations of turbomachinery 
Familiarity with the Product Development Process (PDP) as well as six sigma and lean principles and tools 
Strong project management experience; demonstrated ability to receive a development target and drive it to completion 
Leadership and People management experience in intercultural collaboration is preferred.
Excellent presentation and communication abilities to engage with various stakeholders, articulating complex issues clearly
Experience in developing strategic plans, with transformation leadership skills to motivate teams and ensure accountability 
Ability to empower and guide teams, create development plans, and effectively lead and collaborate in team settings 
Willingness to challenge the status quo in an open and trustful manner to continuously improve.
Propensity to care about people and support them as sparring partners, appreciate their efforts, and coach them to reach their full potential.
Motivation to join in and participate in the daily work of the team, follow, and take action when needed.
Strength and discipline to act as a role model for agreed behaviors and to lead by example.
