Together with our customers, we combine the real and digital worlds

Siemens Smart Infrastructure connects energy systems, buildings and industries. We help our customers and communities to progress and support sustainable development to protect our planet for the next generation.

As a pioneer in the global building industry, we as Building Products – Fire Safety Business team change how people live and work in buildings by connecting the digital and the physical world. Our global business involves many fields from detection, alarming, evacuation and extinguishing to danger and building management, as well as cloud-based solutions for remote site management. With our broad offering we ensure the protection of people, assets and businesses with the highest performance and efficiency.

We are looking for a new colleague to complement our diverse team of Release Managers for our Fire Safety Portfolio at Siemens Building Products. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our product and solution portfolio is released predictably, reliably, and with the highest quality. Operating at program level, you will coordinate release planning and readiness, manage program dependencies, and ensure transparency across deliveries within the organisation.

Would you like to actively shape the future of fire safety and make a measurable impact? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Location: this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Please note that qualified candidates need to be legally eligible for work authorization in Switzerland.

Your new responsibilities

  • End-to-End Release Management: Ensure successful execution of releases from concept to launch by coordinating dependencies across multiple releases to ensure timely delivery within defined scope, budget, and quality targets
  • Planning and Alignment: Develop release plans, including resource and capacity planning, while aligning priorities with key stakeholders such as the Product Line Head, Product Managers, and Agile teams, and ensuring timely resolution of product issues raised by customers
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact release scope, quality, or timelines, while troubleshooting issues and maintaining contingency plans to ensure project stability and successful delivery
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to internal governance, regulatory requirements, and security standards throughout the development process
  • Process Ownership: Implement and continuously improve release management processes, while maintaining comprehensive planning documentation such as deployment plans, readiness checklists, and guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient releases
  • Integration and Communication: Act as the primary interface between the Product Managers and Agile teams, track progress throughout the entire development process, and communicate release status, dependencies, and readiness to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Budget and Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators related to development efficiency, project predictability (including timelines and budget), and overall quality, while managing the budget and optimizing cost performance to ensure financial and operational effectiveness
  • Product Lifecycle Oversight: Support innovation, product strategy, roadmap development, new product launches, and end-of-life planning, while collaborating with product managers and Agile teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
