What Will You Do?

You will be responsible for the Total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of an assigned (Sub) Commodity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute strategies for your Commodity group to ensure the correct supply base for the business.
  • Achieve committed objectives for the Commodity in terms of productivity: Savings after price and technology, Payment terms, and Global Value Sourcing using diverse negotiation and innovation strategies.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reductions and cost avoidance.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of digitalization with key/strategic suppliers foreseen in your Commodity group.
  • Lead sourcing activities and execution for supply base implementation according to the Commodity strategy conceived – RFQ, Comparison, ToCo, Sourcing Committee.
  • Develop dual sources as required by the Commodity strategy.
  • Participate in insourcing and outsourcing activities, always considering the requirements and suppliers of other sister Sites in the Americas for synergy purposes.
  • Drive supplier risk categorization, evaluation, and development in conjunction with cross-functional team members such as Logistics, Quality, and Procurement Engineering.
  • Implement and execute Procurement processes for your Commodity (Locally, Regionally, and Globally), ensuring accuracy in responses to any audit (internal, Corporate, and external).
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (Revisions) involved in your Commodity.

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Economics).
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving skills.
    • Customer Service (driven).
    • Ability to manage internal and cross-functional teams.
    • Emotional intelligence, empathy, adaptability, and creativity to handle negotiation challenges and price increases with suppliers.
  • Tool Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint).
    • Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables) is essential.
    • SAP MM Modules knowledge will be an asset.
  • Technical Knowledge: Material Management, Project Logistics, and Import & Export know-how.
  • Languages: Fluent English (conversational) is a must.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience preferred.
