Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future-Oriented

In this role you will:

  • Support the delivery, testing and commissioning of 25kV overhead wiring (OHW) infrastructure, including installation verification, pre-commissioning activities and energisation readiness checks
  • Execute safety-critical HV switching operations in accordance with approved procedures, Electrical Network Safety Rules and project shutdown plans
  • Conduct inspections of overhead line equipment and associated assets to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and rail safety requirements
  • Identify, document and support the rectification of defects, punch-list items and commissioning issues to enable successful project handover
  • Complete inspection reports, switching records, test documentation and quality records accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support planned shutdowns, commissioning activities and incident recovery works to deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused project outcomes

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Rail Traction, ESV Line Worker Licence and Hirail Operator TMO qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in overhead wiring installation, construction verification, testing and commissioning of traction power or OHW assets
  • Sound knowledge of HV network safety rules, switching operations, isolation procedures and rail safety requirements
  • Current RIW Worker card, White Card, Working at Heights certification and a valid driver's licence
