We are looking for a OpenShift Platform Expert

You’ll make a difference by:

·        As an OpenShift Platform Expert, you'll be at the forefront of installing, operating, and supporting container platforms in a sophisticated hybrid architecture spanning Siemens high-security data centers, EDGE environments, and public cloud. Your work will ensure the security and operational availability of critical IT services and applications across Siemens AG – even during prolonged disaster situations.

·        Install, migrate, and configure highly critical and complex OpenShift clusters for container and virtualization workloads across various hardware and software technologies

·        Implement project-specific customizations for tailored products and optimize performance while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements

·        Integrate IT subsystems into the overall system architecture, including central identity management

·        Independently develop automation and self-service functions using Advanced Cluster Management, Ansible Automation Platform, ArgoCD, Git, GitOps, HP-OO, and other tools

·        Continuously optimize business processes and maintain comprehensive documentation

·        Drive DevOps initiatives with CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Jenkins

·        Harden and monitor deployed solutions according to company guidelines and industry best practices

·        Implement SELinux, iptables, and scanning tools for operating systems and container images

·        Ensure compliance using tools like Sysdig and Qualys

·        Provide expert guidance on storage providers (Trident, OpenShift Data Foundation, Container Storage Interface) and network interfaces for containerized/virtualized services

·        Advise on server/network architecture, software configurations, and applications (Apache Kafka, Postgres, MongoDB, Kong, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

·        Support DevOps teams in deploying containerized applications and debugging "12 factor apps"

·        Manage operation, administration, and configuration of container platforms while maintaining availability, integrity, and confidentiality

·        Handle complex problems with containers and virtualized infrastructures independently

·        Analyze and resolve performance issues to meet business needs and high service levels

·        Integrate solutions into operational environments (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)

·        Participate in 24/7 on-call duty to ensure continuous operations

You’ll win us over by:

·        BE - Electrical, Electronics & Communications or Instrumentation Engineering with 5-9 years of experience administering high-availability solutions in IT environments, 3-5 years of hands-on experience with virtual infrastructures (VMware or OpenShift) and container solutions with OpenShift

·        Experience in Container solutions: OpenShift 4.x and above

·        Virtual solutions: OpenShift 4.x and aboveCluster management: RedHat Advanced Cluster Management

·        Operating systems: RedHat Linux (RedHat CoreOS V8.x-V10.x, RHEL V8.x-V10.x), SUSE-Linux (SLES V15.x – SLES V16.x)

·        Storage management: Linux LVM, ODF, Trident

·        Platform and container hardening: Sysdig, Qualys

·        Cloud solutions: AWS

·        Programming/automation: Shell, Perl, Python, Ansible, HP-OO, Operators, Helm, Terraform, GitOps

·        High availability solutions, Firewall, Routing & Proxy, Analytical capabilities and ITIL

·        Technical English for communication with management, customers, and suppliers

·        DevOps support: CI/CD with Tekton, Jenkins, 12 Factor Apps

·        Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call duty due to high-availability requirements

·        Flexibility to work shifts across different time zones

·        Strong presentation and communication skills

·        Self-directed approach to continuous learning and professional development
