Role Summary
As a Product Validation & Certification Engineer – Communication, you will validate, certify, and ensure the reliability, interoperability, and compliance of communication systems used in substation automation. Your work will support secure and high-performance automation solutions aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Validate and certify communication features in substation automation systems
• Test and troubleshoot communication protocols in lab and field setups
• Ensure compliance with international communication and cybersecurity standards
• Work with development and system engineering teams to resolve issues
• Validate redundancy and high availability communication architectures
• Support customer issues, audits, and required travel

Required Skills & Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of substation automation and telecontrol protocols
• Good understanding of OSI model, networking, and serial/Ethernet communication
• Hands on experience with communication redundancy concepts
• Experience with protocols such as Modbus, OPC (DA/AE/UA), DNP3,
• IEC 60870 5 101/103/104, and IEC 61850

Good to Have
• Basic knowledge of power system protection
• Exposure to cloud technologies and MQTT
• Awareness of cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443)
• Strong communication skills
