The Commercial Project Director will take full responsibility for all commercial and finance-related matters for a large rail project, including accounting, legal, tax, export control, customs, and compliance topics throughout the project execution phase. This role will support the Project Director in delivering the project within defined cost, time, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.

You will:

• Lead the commercial management of a major rail infrastructure project, including project finances, forecasting, cash flow, assets, bonds, guarantees, and securities.
• Support the Project Director in managing and optimizing financial outcomes, including project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments.
• Ensure accurate cost and pricing calculations, project books and records, SAP entries, invoicing, and commercial project data.
• Drive compliance with Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines, local GAAP requirements, LoA guidelines, risk management processes, and other applicable regulations.
• Lead commercial contract reviews, negotiations, claim management activities, and the evaluation of contract conditions in coordination with Legal and the wider project team.
• Identify, assess, monitor, report, and escalate commercial risks, including calculation, tax, insurance, and contractual risks.
• Hold commercial project status meetings and ensure clear communication of commercial obligations to relevant project stakeholders.

Your qualifications and skills to create a better tomorrow:

• Degree in Business Administration or a comparable field of study.
• Minimum 15 years’ international commercial experience managing large infrastructure projects, including at least 10 years managing implementation of rail projects.
• Proven project management experience in rail project delivery, rolling stock, or single-discipline rail engineering projects.
• Strong professional commercial knowledge and extensive experience in the financial management of complex rail projects.
• Leadership experience in projects and/or line organizations, with proven intercultural working experience.
• Experience setting up commercial teams, defining roles and responsibilities, and managing efficient project organizations.
• Knowledge of working with rail agencies in the delivery of new metro lines.
• Strong experience with commercial project management tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Vietnamese language skills would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, team leadership, mediation, and customer-orientation skills.
