Global Payroll, Time & Absence Project Support (f/m/d)

Then come and join our global team as Global Payroll, Time & Absence Project Support (f/m/d), to provide operational and project support across global Payroll, Time, and Absence domains, with a strong focus on Workday and related HR systems. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, effective sprint planning, and successful coordination of payroll-related initiatives in collaboration with HRIT, AMS providers, and business stakeholders.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Sprint Coordination
- Ensure effective daily operations within Payroll, Time & Absence processes across multiple systems, primarily Workday
- Support and maintain sprint planning activities, including backlog preparation, prioritization, and tracking
- Act as a coordination interface between HR, HRIT, and AMS providers to ensure timely delivery of operational tasks
- Monitor system-related incidents, requests, and changes, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution
Project Support & Coordination
- Support global and regional Payroll and Time-related projects, including implementations, enhancements, and harmonization initiatives
- Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders, including HR, HRIT, Finance, Compliance, and AMS providers
- Track project progress, risks, and dependencies and ensure transparency
- Support testing activities (UAT, regression testing) and deployment readiness
Stakeholder Management
- Act as key point of contact for Payroll, Time, and Absence topics
- Facilitate communication between global, regional, and local stakeholders
- Support governance meetings, reporting, and status updates
- Controls & Compliance
- Support implementation and monitoring of internal control requirements
- Ensure adherence to audit, compliance, and company standards
- Assist in audit documentation and review preparation
- Contribute to improving control effectiveness and process quality
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive process improvements and harmonization opportunities
- Support optimization of Workday and system integrations
- Document processes, procedures, and best practices
Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a master’s degree in business administration, HR, Finance, or a related field
- You have several years of experience in Global Payroll, Time & Absence, or HR Operations / HRIT projects
- We also welcome applications from candidates with a bachelor's degree combined with additional professional experience in this field.
- You have profound understanding of HR systems (preferably Workday)
- Experience with external providers (AMS / vendors) is a plus
- Good knowledge of internal controls, compliance, or audit processes is advantageous
- You don't have a university degree? We also welcome applications from candidates who have completed a vocational training and possess additional qualifications as well as extensive professional experience in this field.
