Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager / Electrification Engineer to join our team in Athens, Greece and contribute to major railway, metro and tram infrastructure projects. As a Project Manager / Electrification Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of electrification projects, supporting all phases from bid preparation and contract management to testing and commissioning activities.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Manage subcontractors and support the execution of electrification projects for Main Line (ML), Metro and Tram systems.
  • Coordinate project activities with Siemens Mobility Headquarters regarding design, engineering deliverables, testing procedures and commissioning activities.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities for traction power supply and other E&M systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards and electrical safety regulations.
  • Support contract management activities throughout the project lifecycle in ML, Metro or TRAM.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery within schedule and budget .
  • Test and Commissioning of electrification projects in ML, Metro or TRAM
  • Help in the preparation and submission of relevant project bids/proposals

What do you need to bring with you?

        Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering  or similar field

  • At least 3 years of professional experience:
    • a) in electromechanical (E&M) installations, electrification projects in ML, Metro or TRAM
    • b) as a Project Manager or as a person responsible for testing and commissioning power supply systems
  • Good knowledge of basic electrical safety rules.
  • Team spirit and a willingness to learn.
  • Good knowledge of Greek and basic knowledge of English (technical terminology).
  • Fulfilled military service obligations.
  • Nice to Have:
  • PMI Project Management Certification.
  • Good command of German.
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD.

For apprenticeship contracts, the indicative gross total annual salary range is between €42.000 and €52,000, depending on the candidate’s educational background. The apprenticeship program includes defined salary steps: compensation increases progressively based on seniority and the acquisition of skills, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL).
