You’ll make a difference by:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Pega Architect to drive the architecture, design, and successful delivery of enterprise-scale Pega solutions for global customers. This role requires a seasoned Pega professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for mentoring engineering teams.
- The successful candidate will lead solution architecture, establish engineering best practices, define reusable frameworks, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications across multiple geographies. In addition to leading strategic customer engagements, this individual will play a key role in building the organization's Pega capability by coaching and mentoring developers toward advanced certifications such as LSA (Lead System Architect) and CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect).
- Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade Pega applications.
- Define scalable, secure, and reusable solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design and implement multi-country, multi-business-unit Pega solutions.
- Establish governance frameworks, architecture standards, reusable components, and development best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
- Delivery Leadership
- Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and delivery teams.
- Drive technical decision-making and resolve complex architectural challenges.
- Support project estimation, solution planning, and risk management.
- Guide deployment planning and production releases.
- DevOps & Engineering Excellence
- Define and implement DevOps best practices for Pega delivery.
- Drive CI/CD automation, release governance, deployment strategies, and environment management.
- Improve productivity development through reusable frameworks and automation.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise engineering standards.
- Integration Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise integrations including:
- REST APIs.
- SOAP Web Services.
- Event-driven architecture.
- SAP integrations.
- External enterprise platform connectivity.
- Authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, SSO, LDAP, SAML, etc.).
- Performance & Production Support
- Lead performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Troubleshoot application performance bottlenecks.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and proactive health checks.
- Support critical production incidents and root cause analysis.
- Leadership & Capability Development
- Mentor and coach Pega developers, Senior Developers, and Lead System Architects.
- Build technical competency across the organization across Pega and adjacent enterprise technologies.
- Develop learning paths and certification plans for CSSA and LSA.
- Conduct architecture workshops and internal technical sessions.
- Establish coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Support hiring and technical assessments.
- Drive resource planning, capacity management, skills development, and succession planning in coordination with product owners.
- Conduct performance and development discussions and support career growth.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
- Innovation
- Evaluate emerging Pega capabilities including Constellation.
- Explore the adoption of GenAI and Agentic AI within the Pega platform.
- Recommend modern engineering practices that improve customer outcomes.
Your success is grounded in:
- Technical Skills
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Pega development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in enterprise application architecture and solution design.
- Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale Pega implementations.
- Strong understanding of Pega platform architecture and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, deployment management, and release governance.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience integrating with SAP and external enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of authentication and security mechanisms.
- Experience defining reusable frameworks and architecture governance.
- Leadership Skills
- Proven experience leading global implementation teams.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence architecture decisions across multiple projects.
- Experience working with distributed global teams.
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Pega Constellation architecture.
- Knowledge of GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities within the Pega ecosystem.
- Experience with ServiceNow platform integration or development.
- Exposure to cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Preferred Certifications
- Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) – Preferred.
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA).
- Pega System Architect (CSA).
- Additional Pega specialization certifications are an advantage.
- ServiceNow certifications (desirable).
