Service Team Leader – Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

You'll make a difference by:

• Leading service operations by managing service engineers and technicians, planning manpower allocation, and ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual commitments.
• Providing technical leadership through advanced troubleshooting, fault rectification, root cause analysis, and support for commissioning, migration, modernization, and upgrade projects for fire alarm systems.
• Driving customer success by serving as the escalation point for critical service issues, conducting service reviews, and recommending lifecycle improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, skills development, and support for recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
• Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance by enforcing workplace safety standards, conducting audits and risk assessments, and ensuring all service activities meet applicable fire safety regulations and industry standards.
• Monitoring operational performance through KPI tracking, review of maintenance documentation, resource utilization management, spare parts planning, and regular reporting to service management.

Your defining qualities:

• Relevant engineering qualification with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive fire systems experience with at least 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, including maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Proven leadership capability with a minimum of 2 years' experience leading service engineers, technicians, subcontractors, or field service teams.
• Strong technical expertise in fire alarm system architecture, addressable fire alarm networks, emergency voice communication systems, cause-and-effect programming, fault diagnosis, and system recovery.
• Customer-focused mindset with demonstrated success in service delivery, stakeholder management, issue resolution, and building long-term customer relationships.
• Knowledge of integrated building technologies including interpretation of electrical schematics, technical drawings, networking concepts, and integrated building management systems; experience with Siemens fire systems is highly advantageous.
