Join our Smart Infrastructure (SI) team as Plant Controller to help us to successfully manage all financial aspects of Operations of our Apparatus Factories. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Plant Manager and the plant leadership team, the Fin. Director of Operations (Systems), the Operations FIN team, the Performance controlling team, the Apparatus Factories, the Apparatus Fin team and other functions while owning and aiming to improve all financial aspects of accuracy of books and records, planning and controlling, measuring the achievement of KPIs and driving improvements / projects.
This position will initially be based in Spartanburg/Roebuck, South Carolina. Following an initial onboarding and training period, the role is expected to transition to a future company location. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate when business needs require.
As the Plant Controller, you will:
- Manage all commercial activities and be responsible for the commercial success of the plant.
- Be part of the plant’s leadership team and the commercial partner to the Plant Manager

- Help define long term strategic targets and drive implementation by breaking them into achievable short-term objectives in a highly dynamic environment.
- Support and drive accuracy of master data and value flow in factories aiming at standardization and Sherpa readiness as well as optimized sales order controlling
- Evaluate and ensure alignment of operational and commercial targets. Develop KPI’s to measure such targets and collaborate cross-functionally to take corrective actions as necessary.
- Implement new systems, software and tools and enhance existing ones to ensure optimal support of technical and financial needs, e.g. SAP, MES, etc.
- Actively manage inventory by tracking variations, monitoring excess, booking reserves, analyzing cycle counts etc. Closely coordinate with purchasing, planning, and logistics to understand movements and its corresponding impacts to the financials.
- Innovate by standardizing and digitalizing existing processes and identify opportunities to develop new KPI’s or reporting that adds business value.
- Design, implement and monitor internal controls within the plant to ensure accuracy of books and records and process adherence, identify any gaps or weaknesses and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- recruit, manage, assess, and develop team members by setting challenging targets and ensure achievement by motivating, encouraging and advising as required.
You will make a strong impact if you have the following qualifications:
- BS in Accounting, Finance. Advanced degree in Finance preferred.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Finance, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience and in-depth know-how of large and complex manufacturing environments
- Comprehensive SCM- and manufacturing process understanding (beyond finance)
- Very strong in-depth knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) and digitalization- / automation tools (Tableau, Snowflake, KNIME, PowerBI, etc.) and AI
- Strong Networking-, Collaboration- and Stakeholder Management skills
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting process.
- Experience and track record in developing and directing teams as well as to manage and develop individuals
- Strong impact on results in own area.

The pay range for this position is $145,156 - $248,839 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
