Position Overview
Siemens is seeking a passionate and meticulous Electrical Test Engineer to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conducting, and analyzing electrical tests on our products and systems to ensure their compliance with the company’s quality, performance, and safety requirements.
You will work closely with the engineering, production, quality, and project management teams to support the development of innovative products and the continuous improvement of our processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct electrical, functional, and performance tests on products and systems.
- Analyze test results and document technical conclusions.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues observed during testing.
- Assist in developing, implementing and improving test procedures and policies.
- Work with the design teams to validate new products and technical modifications.
- Provide technical support to production operations and quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and health and safety requirements.
- Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase testing efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for membership.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of electrical power, control, and protection systems.
- Experience using testing and electrical measurement equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of CSA, UL, CE, or IEC standards an asset.

Bilingualism Required
The successful candidate must be bilingual. Excellent knowledge of French and English (written and spoken) is required for this role and its responsibilities, for the following reasons :
- The position requires interaction with English-speaking customers and suppliers in Canada and/or abroad.
- The position requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues outside of Quebec, across the country and abroad.
- The position requires the use of technology or software that is only available in English.
- The role involves liaising with foreign government and regulatory agencies based in the United States and Europe.
