We are looking for a Head – Material Planning & Scheduling

Lead Material Planning and Production Scheduling for Converters & Signaling manufacturing operations, ensuring material availability, optimized inventory, effective production planning, and on-time customer deliveries while driving operational excellence and supply chain performance.

You’ll make a difference by

  • Budgeting, forecasting, controlling and reporting Key financial KPIs (Revenue, Profit and Free Cash Flow)
  • Develop and execute material planning strategies to support production requirements.
  • Drive MRP-based planning and ensure timely availability of materials, components, and subassemblies.
  • Prepare and monitor production schedules aligned with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality, Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage inventory levels, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and improve inventory turns.
  • Monitor and improve schedule adherence, material availability, and delivery performance.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, shortages, and production bottlenecks.
  • Responsible for Packing and timely dispatches of Finished Goods
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning, inventory management, and SAP utilization.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of planners and schedulers.

Desired Skills:

  • Proven leader with 15+ years of experience in Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations, including at least 5 years in a managerial role, with a strong track record of delivering production commitments, optimizing inventory, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Rolling Stock, Converters, Railways, Signaling Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, or other complex project-based manufacturing environments.
  • Material Availability, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Production Schedule Adherence, Inventory Turnover, Delivery Reliability, Supplier Delivery Performance, Reduction in Material Shortages
