You’ll make an impact by:
- ID Card Services Management:
- Global Management of SRE ID Card offices , overseeing the global production and supply of Siemens ID cards, ensuring they meet governance standards, branding, and security policies
- Managing relationships with internal LRAs and external vendors for card printing and encoding processes
- Monitoring service performance, including production volumes, lead times, quality issues, and operational costs
- Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, identity verification, and physical security requirements
- Developing and optimizing card production procedures, workflows, and governance controls to improve efficiency
- Providing training and guidance to local teams and stakeholders involved in ID card issuance
- Orchestrate global card lifecycle management (ordering process)
- Access Control Oversight:
- Supervising Siemens' access control services delivered by Smart Infrastructure (SI), ensuring compliance with contract requirements
- Monitoring service performance, addressing quality issues, and optimizing operational costs
- Defining and enhancing access control policies, workflows, and governance standards to ensure consistency
- Acting as a touchpoint for innovation by identifying and integrating advanced security technologies, supported by blueprints for Siemens' environment
- Providing training, guidance, and technical support to local teams for access control implementation and management
- Standardization and Innovation:
- Driving the alignment of security services globally by promoting cohesive policies and introducing innovative solutions
- Identifying new technologies to improve ID and access systems, creating industry-leading security standards at Siemens
- Reporting on operational improvements, compliance risks, and strategic opportunities to senior stakeholders
- Global Collaboration:
- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration with Hub Security Leads, customers, and suppliers across multiple regions
- Supporting local and regional teams to handle day-to-day operational tasks while maintaining a standardized global governance framework
- Building strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Security Engineering, Security management or a related field. Relevant certifications in security management, like CISSP, CISM, or similar, are desirable
- Experience & Skills:
- Serveral years of experience in access control systems, including card technologies, profiles, alarms, and integrations
- Experience in ID card production processes, encoding, secure handling, and lifecycle management of identity systems
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), physical security principles, and identity verification processes
- Vendor and supplier management experience, including service contracts and technology integration projects
- Track record of developing and enforcing governance standards and maintaining compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with process improvement initiatives and the ability to automate workflows for operational efficiency
- Proficiency in using digital tools, including SAP and reporting technologies like Power BI
- Ways of working:
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement
- Effective collaboration within a global, highly matrixed organization, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication skills for providing training and clear guidance to internal and local teams
- Resilient and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required; German is an advantage
